Why Fermentation
Fermentation breaks ingredients down into smaller molecules, helping them reach deeper into the skin’s layers than they otherwise could. It also elevates what an ingredient can offer in the first place — much like the nutritional difference between milk and yogurt. Every Sparrow formula, not just this one, is built on this same process.
Formulated for the Eye Area
E-ien is formulated with the maximum percentage of actives appropriate for skin this delicate — not more concentrated than the rest of the Sparrow range, but calibrated specifically for the eyes. Given the potency involved, we recommend a patch test before applying to the full eye area.
Bakuchiol & Copper Peptides
Bakuchiol is widely regarded as the safest, plant-based alternative to retinol — delivering age-defying benefits without the irritation retinol can bring. Copper peptides work alongside it to support the skin’s own firmness and repair.
A Food-Grade Neurotransmitter-Inspired Blend
NMN, GABA, glycine, MSM, and creatine — a food-grade blend inspired by the body’s own neurotransmitters, supporting skin vitality and resilience around the delicate eye area.
Guarana Extract
With significantly more caffeine than coffee, guarana is included to help reduce the look of puffiness and support a more awake, refreshed appearance.
Niacinamide, Carrot Seed Oil, Grape Skin Extract
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) helps brighten and even tone around the eyes. Carrot seed oil brings vitamins and antioxidants; grape skin extract defends against everyday environmental stress.
Royal Jelly
A nutrient-dense ingredient that supports skin renewal, standing in for honey in this formula.
